Community weekly animal welfare outreach program

Boksburg SPCA weekly visits disadvantaged communities in our operational area to provide first line animal welfare veterinary and educational services to uplift the welfare of the animals and to prevent cruelty. The actions include treatment for ticks and fleas, minor wounds, de-worming, providing suitable collars and leads and most importantly sterilization and where possible other veterinary treatment. The weekly costs run between R3000-R4000, including small food parcels for the animals.
