Kisoro Concern for Marginalised People organisation is implementing education program for the batwa indigenous minority ethnic group. This is a group of 6700 people who used to live in the forests of Bwindi, and Mgahinga National parks but were evicted from the forests which were regarded as their ancestral homelands in 1991
We are using education as a form of empowerment. According to World Bank Report
2017, indicated that only 0.5% of the total Batwa population have access to education.
