Who we are

CharitySaver is operated by Charitiplus Ltd, a not for profit company currently awaiting confirmation of its charity status from the Charities Commission.

Data collected

When you use our site we collect various forms of data depending on the type of use.

For all: Basic information will be collected depending on your cookie choices (see “Cookies” section below.

For donors: When you use the CharitySaver site (or the CharitySaver “payment button” if donating via a charities own website) we will collect your name, address (if provided), email address and telephone number (if provided). This data is used for our own analytics, to satisfy HM Revenue & Customs requirements, for your own use (where you have activated a donor account) and to ensure the charities you donate to have full records of all donations.

We do not sell your data in any circumstances and we do not provide your data to third parties outside of the above mentioned unless required to do so by law.

Media

Right of use: By uploading any image to the website you warrant and agree that you have full permission for the use of such image and that CharitySaver shall have no liability for such image in the event that the right to use such image is challenged by a third party. In such circumstance you shall indemnify Charitysaver and it’s partners against any liabilities arising from such disputed use.

Cookies

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

On first visiting the website a cookie choices banner will display, enabling you to determine what (if any) information we may collect

Who we share your data with

As per “Data Collected” above, we collect your data when you donate, or create an account, in order to satisfy certain legal and operating requirements. In the case of donations to a charity only, your name, address, email and telephone number (if provided) will be passed to the charity receiving your donation and by donating you authorise that charity to contact you directly via email, post or telephone.

You may cancel further contact by the charity at any time by either contacting the charity directly or by notifying CharitySaver via email to ad***@ch**********.org with the header “cancel data use by [the charity name] with your name and address in the body of the email

How long we retain your data

Your data will be retained in accordance with HM Revenue & Customs business data requirements or until removal is requested by yourself (subject to minimum data retention requirements of HMRC if applicable)

What rights you have over your data

You can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
